About one year ago we arranged a photo shooting with Tom Sizemore, and I was very excited. I am a really great fan of his movies like “The Relic”, “Heat”, “Natural Born Killers” or “Saving Private Ryan” and so it was a great honor for me and Nelly. But unfortunately some days before the shooting Tom had some filming work on this day, so we had to cancel the shooting.
Tom Sizemore who played in more than 120 movies and is also today very busy with filming, started his career in 1989. At this time he was acting next to great stars like Tom Cruise, Ralph Finnes or Kevin Costner in secondary and main characters. 1997 he played the main role in the horror movie “The Relic”.
In the following years he was part of some big Blockbusters (in the first line war films) like in Steven Spielbergs “Saving Private Ryan” (1998), Michael Bays “Pearl Harbor” (2001) and Ridley Scotts “Black Hawk Down” (2002).
As we could arrange in this year the shooting we were very happy. By now Tom is working coincident on three movies and the TV series “Hawaii Five-O” where he is playing Capt. Vincent Fryer.
The shooting itself took place in the office of his publicist, where we used 4 lights from Hensel, a beautidish, two light-formers as well as of course a background. My assistant build up the whole set very on time. I wanted to show Tom in color as well as black/white, on the one hand in a studio atmosphere but also in a more natural surrounding.
Tom came a little bit late and was a bit exhausted because of his workout. Nelly started with the make-up, while we made a light test. After that we could start with the shooting, the production took no longer than 30 minutes and after changing twice the outfit it was done. On the same evening I edited the pictures.
His publicist and also Tom himself were very excited about the photos they instantly twitter them and also booked me for another shooting with the worldstar Sally Kellerman. Sally is an actress and has her own talk show in the US TV. Also she is married to the producer Jonathan D. Krane, who works with John Travolta, but this is another story.
All the best,
Yours Manfred
